Hello, and welcome! My name is Heather and I am a higher education professional currently located in Ohio. I started my, unknown to me then, career in higher education as a student worker in the Office of Admissions at my university. Fast forward to the present and I am Program Coordinator & Adjunct Professor for the Division of Experience-Based Learning & Career Education at the University of Cincinnati.
I grew up in Lima, Ohio with an intense adoration for art, soccer, culture, quotes, and practically anything that would get me out of the house. I wanted to learn about the world from a perspective other than my own. I always knew I wanted to be able to help people – back then I just didn’t know in what way. I went from the dream of being a psychiatrist to becoming a Higher Education professional to help students figure out their passion. Don’t worry though, I still plan on finding a way to volunteer and help foster kids along the way.
In reality, I’m quirky and love to interact with others. Truly understanding one another is something that fascinates me, and in the long run something we all need to learn in the end. So, if you’re interested in getting to know me or want to talk about anything I’ve posted, please feel free to reach out!
