Evaluation Plan & Evaluation Report: Course Planning & Alignment Map for PD2045

Artifact Construction

During IDT7100: Designing Online Assessments, we were charged with creating a course planning and alignment map for a class we already instructed. For my project, I created a map for PD2045: Success on the Pre-Health Pathway for mid-collegiate undergraduate students. The course map and supporting documentation was created to generate a stronger connection between the learning outcomes of PD2045 to the module alignment, assessments, learning materials, and activities. This course allowed me to make data-driven decisions to improve my instruction and pedagogical approaches to teaching the course. Critical aspects of backward design were integrated into the instructional plan to improve the quality of the overall assessment process.

Evaluation Plan & Report

During IDT8130: Master’s Project, we completed an evaluation plan and evaluation report for one of the artifacts created during our Master’s Program. For my project I evaluated the Course Planning and Alignment Map for PD2045. The capstone project allowed me to complete an in-depth evaluation of PD2045 with the included perspective of outside experts. This allowed for a more in-depth appreciation for the course review process and the intentional integration of theory and research-based support for course updates and implementation.

Both written documents can be found below for additional context on the use of the map.
