Designed to help students gain a wider understanding of the variety of health professions, how to most effectively prepare for entry, and explore the human side of healthcare including ethics, social determinants of health, inter-professionalism, and what it means to be an advocate for patient health.

Designed for mid-collegiate students interested in healthcare/pre-health pathways with a focus on the application, integration, and deepening of knowledge of co-curricular content, continued professional development, and understanding the benefits of career exploration.

Designed for mid-collegiate biology students to explore career options, professional development, experiential learning, self-exploration, ethics, and learn the basic requirements of reading/writing  scientific papers.

Designed for mid-collegiate college students across majors to explore major/career-related experiential learning opportunities, develop their professional portfolio, enhance professional skills, and engage in self-exploration exercises to further explore their sense of purpose and career interests.

PD1170: Career Readiness in the Liberal Arts

Designed for first-year liberal arts students to guide them in identifying their strengths and transferable skills related to their program of study, sharpen their career focus, and develop insight into their professional trajectory.

INT Course Sequence: Internship/Co-op Reflection

Designed for students who are currently completing an experiential learning experience to guide them in engagement and active reflection in their learning process and how to articulate how they are gaining professional skills.


PD1085: Post-Experience Reflection Course

Designed for students who have recently completed at least 40 hours of experiential learning to reflect on their experiences and integrate their learning as a part of their ongoing professional development. This course also has the option fulfill Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit.

MLTI2119: Unpacking COVID-19: A Multidisciplinary Approach

Designed to provide students with a multidisciplinary exploration of the impacts and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lectures and instruction is provided by professors across the university to support students’ growing understanding of its disease and its multi-pronged and interrelated impact on public health response, information and product design, religion and the law, mental health, and the future world of work.
